Fourth of July Maritime Engagement
|

There are two fleets in this engagement: American and British (Brits). You, your crew, and sailing vessel will be assigned to a country. Brits will block the port and Americans will run the blockade.

1:30 pm Captains’ Meeting
2:00 pm Start Time

Rules of Engagement
1. You must fly the flag of your Country or pennant.
§ Red for Brits
§ Blue for USA
2. You must put a sponge in the cockpit to kill a boat.
3. If your boat is killed, you must lower your flag.
4. A killed boat can pass his kill sponge to a boat that has not been killed.
5. You must fly the main sail (you can motor sail).
6. You can use water balloons to fend off an attacker. Water balloons will be available at the club on a first come-first serve basis.

Will partake in a maritime engagement
Captains of all sailing vessels – Your Country needs you!
All vessels will be divided into two countries:
Those blocking the port; and
Those running the blockade.
Be it known to all – this is a call to arms
Your participation or lack thereof will determine the fate of your country.
All vessels will be armed with an appropriate number of projectiles
(Water balloons).
Landlubbers may be press-ganged.
Rules of engagement, Admiralty, and
Division of vessels will follow.

Dinner will be served at 6:00 pm
Pork Tenderloin and all the fixings.
If you sail only once this year,
Make it the Fourth of July!
