Jay Girls and Boys "Learn to Sail Program"
|
|
The Jay Girls and Boys Club program is to take them out on a sail boat & have them experience time on the water. There will be 3 participants on each boat & each kid will be wearing a life jacket. Boaters, are needed, who are willing to take the kids on your boat for an outing on a Saturday. There may be parents & or sponsors that will be included.
If you are willing to participate contact Buddy Hatch, 786-6441 & leave a message.
To date GLSC has had 5 new youth life jackets donated to the club, by West Marine, for this program.

| Grove High School "Learn to Sail Program" |
|
This program is two fold. First take them out for a sail, 2-3 per boat, to see if they are interested in learning the techniques of sailing and if they enjoy being on a boat out on the water. This will be on a Sat. and each will be wearing a life jacket. After this initial outing, if they are interested in learning to sail, they will receive a safety course on a Sat which will cover us all via state law. Then at the club, learn the basic sailing
techniques so that they can crew on a boat for our events and races.
We need your support to lend adult life jackets for these sailing trips.
Contact Marilyn Rose 918-520-6691 if you have adult life jackets to lend to this program. When Buddy & Marilyn went to the High School during lunch time 21 students signed up for this learning experience.
If you are willing to participate in this program by offering your boat for a ride, contact Buddy 786-6441 to leave a message.

| Spring Sailing Series Program |
|
The Spring Sailing Series Program begins 4/25 -5/25 so there will be boats on the water so no boat will be out on the water by themselves. You are needed to make this YOUTH PROGRAM a success.
Call & let us know you will help out.
